Coralie graduated from the University of Western Ontario with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008, and she continues to work as a registered nurse in Victoria, BC. Throughout her nursing career, she noted that current Western practices often focus on treating symptoms, rather than getting to the root cause of what was causing one's illness or disease in the first place.
This is when she started looking for answers elsewhere, and she turned to food for healing. Through simple dietary changes, she cleared up the adult acne that had plagued her since her teenage years and was also able to overcome her chronic gastrointestinal issues.
Coralie completed her Practitioner Diploma in Holistic Nutrition in 2017 so that she could gain the knowledge and experience to help others. She is passionate about food as a modality for healing and transforming one's life - and also as something to enjoy!
She enjoys working with clients who are looking to improve gastrointestinal health, increase energy levels, and optimize cognitive performance, but her scope of practice goes beyond these issues. Living and growing up with one parent with a neurological disease and another with fibromyalgia, Coralie is fully aware of the obstacles of chronic disease but also the healing that can occur.
Coralie believes in a whole foods diet but understands that nutrition is not a "one size fits all" approach, and she prides herself on using her nursing skills and knowledge to complete a thorough history and comprehensive assessment so that she can create a personalized nutrition approach to help her clients optimize their health and reach their goals.
Besides nutrition, Coralie is passionate about creative cooking/baking, farmers markets, hiking, backcountry camping, yoga, and travel. She is always looking for ideas for her next adventure!
